How to Use the Site

On our website you can either choose one of our ‘pre-selected‘ light strings (our most popular combinations) or you can design your own colour combination for your string of lights by using the ‘Custom‘ page.

On the Ready Made section you choose the colour you’d like and then the size you’d like it in (20 or 35 lights).

On the ‘Custom/Pick your own’ page you first choose the number of lights you’d like (20 or 35) by clicking on the circle with ‘20′ or ‘35′ then you click on the colours you’d like, one by one. If you change your mind about a colour just click on it again to remove it. If you want to see what your choice looks like mixed in a different way, just click on ‘mix’ below the colour palette. Once you are happy with your selection just click ‘buy’ and you will be taken to our SagePay SSL Secured checkout facility.

If you’d like a different colour combination (our colour selector mixes all the colours you choose evenly) then just e-mail or call us to let us know the colours you’d like and exact numbers of each and we will contact you to confirm and take payment.

We believe in great customer service so you will have any questions replied to promptly and all orders are sent out same or next day by a specialist Courier service or 1st Class Royal Mail recorded so you’ll never have to wait more than 2 days for delivery. Overseas delivery takes between 3-5 days.

Packaging and Assembly

You will receive your lights in one of our cool packaging boxes (great for a gift) with a transparent light cable of either 20 or 35 bulbs (you choose) and an instruction leaflet for putting the balls onto the light bulbs. It takes a couple of minutes to assemble and the best bit is that you can choose your own order to put the different colours in, so it really is your own design!

About the Lights

The ‘Cotton’ Part of our product is a hollow ball shape (a little smaller than a tennis ball) with a hole for inserting the light bulb into. It is made of natural cotton which is hand-dyed and shaped, using natural gum to make it firm.

The ‘Cable’ Part of our product is a transparent string of lights with transparent plug in either 20 bulb (1.5m to start of first bulb, total length 5.75m) or 35 bulb length (1.5m to start of first bulb, total length 8m). The cable and lights are CE safety approved and the plug BSI safety approved. We also provide you with replacement bulbs – our cables are high quality so are designed for long-term use – if one bulb does fuse, it will not turn off the entire string so you can easily see which bulb to replace and it should be replaced straight away.

We think they make a great and unique gift for someone special or a little treat for yourself. The lights are really versatile and can be used in a number of ways – put them around a mirror, an indoor plant or tree, in a redundant fireplace, in a vase….. the possibilities are limitless!

We have taken great care in importing the highest quality cotton light balls and cables we could find and we have an exclusive agreement for the UK with our suppliers in Thailand. As the light balls are all hand made they differ in shape and consistency slightly and may even fray a little but we think that’s part of their charm. They are all unique and the colour combination you choose is also likely to be unique.

The Thai workers who make these light balls are happy and they work in the open air in very good conditions. In buying these lights you are helping to support an entire community in the remote Champong region of Thailand. We visit as often as we can to ensure that the conditions for workers and the quality of lights made remain high.

The lights look great when they are not lit up, so they can brighten up your home in the daytime as well as at night.

We use a Courier Service and Royal Mail to deliver lights so you will receive them within 2 days of placing an order.
